Advantages and disadvantages of boarding schools.

Boarding school is an option of education where you live and study in the same place. What are its advantages and disadvantages?

Boarding schools have many positive aspects. First of all, you meet a lot of new people from different places who you can become good friends with. You and those people share a lot of different things: studying, sports, daily life activities… I also think studying with friends makes it a lot less boring, and you can help one another.   

                                                                                         

By living at a boarding school, you also live with different traditions than at home. Another advantage is that you become more independent, since you are separated from your family for a pretty long time.

Although boarding school has quite a lot of advantages, it DOES have some disadvantages, too. When you live at a boarding school, you live separated form your family, and you don´t get to see them that often, so you can sometimes really miss them. You don´t have as much freedom as you would at your house, and also the schedule is pretty limitating, since they tell you when to do everything.

In conclusion, I think boarding schools are a good way to learn and live, but not for too long. You live and study with your friends, and experience a different way of living, but you are very limitated and far away from your family and friends.
